WELL! What a weekend. Originally booked to play the STAR on Friday night with KARL the drums dep'ing. Great night! Hot and sweaty,just how we like it. Good room,packed with happy,mildly pissed people who like charged blues. But O BUGGER! those steps with the gear,afterwards. Never feel our age carrying in,playing is allways fun. THEN,suddenly,need a wheelchair. And thats just NICK who is a child compared to the rest of us.
Saturday was supposed to be a rest day but the SWAN phoned in the morning for us to play that night. Well,what can a band do. Except, pack the cars and go! MINUS a drummer. Ah, we'll sort it somehow. And then COLIN from SLOWBURNER was crazy enough to play his own set on the main stage fron 6 till 8,carry his kit 100yds. to the SWAN and drive us on,without flagging, from 9 till 11.15. Give the man respect. He played great for us,and the even sweatier,completely pissed,totally packed crowd. MANY,MANY THANKS COLIN.
What a great weekend. We had a ball. Thanks to those who supported us and the venues. See you next year,if not before, and long may the BLUES be heard.
